#1. Edward Scissorhands
Depp has always been known to be a chameleonic actor, disappearing into a variety of original and kooky roles to make his own with his irrepressible charismatic charm. Yet, it is in his first collaboration with long-time director friend Tim Burton that he delivers a performance that purely relies on his ability to move and show expression in an affecting way. Underneath a mass of make-up and sporting the most inconvenient of hands, Depp is mesmerising in this beautiful modern fairy-tale that sprinkles more than just a little satire over an inspired vision of creation, innocence, and prejudice.
So do you agree with my ramblings or feel that I have left out an obvious Johnny Depp classic?
